I have been a full-time artist since 2002, when I left behind a career in corporate marketing to live in Sonoma County (north of San Francisco) and follow my lifelong passion for painting, drawing and fiber arts. I have studied with San Francisco and North Bay Area painters Michael Loffredo, Sandra Speidel, Maurice Lapp, Lisa Beerntsen, Philip Buller, Robert Dvorak, and Don Feasel.

During the 1960s when I was a student at the University of Bordeaux in France, I began a lifelong exploration and study of the work of painters such as Toulouse Lautrec, Denis, Vuillard, Degas, Bonnard, Matisse. In addition to painting, in 2007 I began re-visiting my earlier interest in fiber arts by creating multimedia pieces that incorporate clay, wire, and fibers that I have spun, woven and/or needle-felted.

I usually have participated in one or both of Sonoma County's open studio programs. This year, however, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Sebastopol Center for the Arts will substitute its two renowned annual open studio programs in June and October with a single online art event: SAVOS: SebArts Virtual Open Studios -- http://sebartsvirtual.org. During the entire month of September 2020*, you can find profiles and art work for sale from 140 Sonoma County artists. I am a participant in this event, so you'll be able to find my work there as well as on this website.

*NOTE: If local health authorties allow, we will also have the option of opening our studios for the public to visit during the first two weekends: Sept 5-6 & 12-13, Sat/Sun from 10-5. I am opting to open my art barn studio for masks-only, socially distanced visits if permitted. You'll be able to find me at 16120 Watson Road, Guerneville, CA 95446--just a mile north of downtown and a block west of Armstrong Woods Road. For a current update, please check the "Covid-19 update" section of this website toward the end of August.*
